Fitness Pilates
Fitness Pilates is a modern adaptation of traditional Pilates designed to enhance overall fitness and well-being. It focuses on improving core strength, flexibility, posture, and balance through controlled and precise movements. Unlike classical Pilates, which follows a set sequence of exercises, Fitness Pilates can be more dynamic and incorporate various fitness elements. Here are some key features:
- Core Strength: Emphasis on strengthening the core muscles, including the abdominals, lower back, and pelvic floor.
- Flexibility: Exercises designed to improve overall flexibility and range of motion.
- Balance: Movements that enhance stability and coordination.
- Posture: Techniques to improve alignment and reduce strain on the body.
- Controlled Movements: Focus on performing exercises with control and precision to maximise effectiveness.
Throughout the class we incorporate equipment such as resistance bands, mini balls, Pilates hoops and small weights to enhance the workout and provide variety. It’s suitable for all fitness levels and can be tailored to individual needs and goals.
Total Body Conditioning
This class is a comprehensive workout designed to improve overall fitness by targeting all major muscle groups. These classes typically combine elements of strength training, cardiovascular exercise, and flexibility work. These classes are great for improving overall fitness, burning calories, and building a balanced, strong body. They can be tailored to different fitness levels, making them suitable for beginners and advanced participants alike.
Half of the class will be standing, focusing on exercises using weights, resistance bands, and body weight to build muscle strength and endurance. The other half will be mat-based, featuring core work and focused exercises to strengthen and tone the body.
